Port Bannatyne is a quiet coastal village with a post office, a pub and café. It is ideal for walking and cycling and has a frequent bus service – every 30 minutes – into the islands main town Rothesay.

Ettrick Bay Tearoom is 30 minutes walk away along the route of the old tramway and serves everything from tea to a complete lunch. Enjoy the view of Arran (this is its best side) while you have a leisurely lunch. Don’t forget to try the amazing cakes of the tearoom before you leave! Walk the calories off along the beach and enjoy the sounds of breaking waves and seabirds.
If you have time, a great way to see our beautiful island is by the round island scenic open top double decker bus with recorded guided tour, you can catch this just outside the marina gates and hop on and off as you please.
